Today I am talking spring transition, and if you are currently experiencing a blizzard please bear with me on this one. ha! The funny thing is that when we shot these pics, I was having a hard time wearing a jacket because the weather was really warm and I was burning up. I am obsessed with this outfit because it is comprised of some of my favorite basics.
#1. Nude Pumps. I just bought these fabulous nude pumps, and I love, love, love them. I have been in the market for nude pumps for a while- they are a basic every girl should have in their closet. They look great with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, ripped jeans. And skirts. And dresses. If you take good care of your shoes, this is one of those items that warrants a splurge. I was kind of following the crowd and thinking my nude pumps had to be Louboutin’s, But have you tried on the things? I am not saying I will never buy Christian Louboutin’s so don’t quote me there, but so far I haven’t tried on a pair that I can walk in. And that’s a problem. Especially for a nude pump that I want to do some walking in. These nude pumps are so perfect. They are classic, classy, and beautiful, and I know I will be wearing them a lot this spring. The reviews say to size up. I am usually an 8/8.5 in shoes, and per the Nordstrom chart a European 39 is equivalent to a 8.5 so I got the 39 and there is a tiny little gap in the heel. Not enough for me to bother with exchanging but I wanted to pass the info on to you. When you are investing in heels, you want to get it right the first time. I do have a narrow foot so that might be why it ran a little big on me. I am also dreaming about this pair in a completely frivolous color… you have to check them out. So cute!
#2. White Distressed Skinny Jeans. These are a must for Spring & Summer. You can dress them up, you can dress them down. They look cute with a shirt tucked in partially and a jacket or blazer layered on top. Or a blouse. Or whatever. This FRAME denim pair is the best. I eyeballed these all last year, but I didn’t order because they looked too ripped with too much skin showing for my taste. But as you can see from these pictures, they aren’t like that at all. Why why why? I don’t know, but I absolutely love and you will too! I got a size 26 which is my true size, and they fit great.
#3. Pink Chloe Drew. Oh hey girl. This was one of my first purchases when I started my blog. It’s so funny because I go through periods where I am obsessed, then I take a little break, and then I am obsessed and wearing it all the time again. You would be shocked if you knew how much stuff you can fit in this baby. It’s kind of miraculous actually. I can even fit my checkbook sized wallet in there, in addition to a ton of other stuff. The gold hardware is gorgeous. And I have to admit, I love that this shade of pink is Pantone’s 2016 color of the year. Even though the bag is pink, I find it works as a great nude/neutral.
It’s probably not noticeable, but my makeup is different in these photos. I usually do my own hair & makeup, but before I shot these photos I tested out The Glam App for my blog. This is an app where a makeup (or hair stylist) comes to your house for a set fee. It kind of reminds me of Uber because you pay a fee and then the tip is just included (which is always nice). My full review of The Glam App will be on the blog tomorrow. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
