NYE Hair- Two Ways Using Hot Tools Black Gold
The very first hair straightener I ever used was a Hot Tools. I was in college, and it was life-changing. I’m not exaggerating. It was during my college days at UC Santa Barbara and being so close to the ocean my hair was always a frizzy, curly disaster. I had grown up in Bakersfield so never had to deal with humidity before. One of my sorority sisters introduced me to her Hot Tools straightener, and I remember going out that night feeling so sleek and beautiful and coming home shocked that my hair stayed that way.
I still have that natural frizzy, wavy hair, and because I am a blogger and constantly taking pictures I am always looking at the best and latest hair-styling tools on the market. Hot Tools recently launched their Black Gold collection, which is what I used to style here and inspire you with some last minute holiday hair.
To dry my hair, I use the Black Gold Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer which injects a high volume of ions into the air stream for faster drying, increased softness, shine and reduced frizz. What is ESPECIALLY cool, is that you can actually adjust the ionic output according to your hair type and humidity conditions. Would have been perfect for my college days at UCSB!!
The NEW Revolutionary Ionic Salon Flat Iron has a cylindrical design which you can see from the photos so it can create straight, wavy, or curly styles! Scroll down to the bottom of the post to see the curls we created with this flat iron.
This flat iron is KEY if you are traveling because you only need to bring one tool instead of multiple. For me personally because I have frizzy hair, I blow it out straight with my blow dryer, then go over the frizzy sections with a flat iron, and then curl with a wand. This eliminates the need for two separate tools.
Hot Tools Black Gold tools are designed with titanium and micro-shine ceramic finish hair will be silky smooth. After styling my hair with these products, my hair style lasted a solid 3-4 days. Lately when I have been doing my hair, even the next day it has been requiring some touch-up’s to keep it looking fresh and silky. After using the Black Gold products, I was still getting compliments on my hair on Day 3 and all I did was brush through it. I am all about investing in tools that cut down on time. Which holiday hairstyle do you prefer- sleek and straight with clips or wavy, volume (don’t forget to scroll down!!!)?
