Chambray Off Shoulder Dress

My love affair for everything off-the-shoulder is still going strong. It is such a flattering look and a nice way to show skin while keeping it classy. Also, have you ever heard anyone refer to their shoulders as their trouble spot? I can tell you it’s a lot easier for me to bare my shoulders than my midsection. This chambray dress is a great basic for summer. It would look so cute thrown on over a bikini, with wedges or lace-up sandals, and it’s under $40! I paired it with my Chloé espadrilles which were a splurge but such a great basic for spring and summer. They go with almost all my casual outfits,  and they are super comfortable. The trick is to get your hands on a pair because they are selling like hotcakes. There is an amazing dupe that looks almost identical to the Chloé, and they seem to be selling out too.

Funny story about the shoes. I met up with my friend Danielle (DKW Styling blog) at the opening of the new Anthropologie at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. I was obsessed with the Chloé espadrilles. I had tried them on earlier that day while out shopping but didn’t get them because they are an investment and also make me over 6′ tall. As soon as I saw Danielle I asked her, “do you have the Chloé espadrilles?”… and she immediately answered “no” and then a few beats later said “wait” and pointed down to her shoes. Not only did she have the shoes but she was wearing them! We laughed so hard about that one.
