Outfit #1: Jacket: Alice + Olivia Lonnie Cropped Bomber Jacket (LOVE this more affordable option) | T-shirt: Madewell C!ao Graphic Tee | Leather Pants: Blank Denim Vegan Leather Skinnies (Run tts or a tiny bit small. If between sizes, size up) | Bag: J.W. Anderson Medium Pierce Bag (smaller option here) | Sneakers: Adidas Superstar (Runs large, size down 1 size)

Outfit #2: Jacket: Alice + Olivia Lonnie Cropped Bomber Jacket | Camisole: H & M Satin Camisole Top Lace (such a great staple item that every woman needs in her closet. and they seem to sell out quick!) | Skirt: Pleated Skirt sold out (similar option here) | Bag: J.W. Anderson Medium Pierce Bag | Sandals: Steve Madden Carrson Sandal (surprisingly comfy, wore all day in NYC with no problem)

Because I am a total procrastinator/last minute everything kind of person, I found myself shopping at Neiman Marcus the day before I left for New York in hopes to find something fabulous to wear to fashion week. Some people are surprised that I am so last minute since I am also a little OCD, but my theory is that my obsessive compulsiveness actually causes the issue. I actually started shopping and packing for NYFW weeks before my trip, but I want everything to be so perfect and am so indecisive that things inevitably get left to the last minute.

Okay so back to Neiman Marcus. I found a sales girl and told her I needed something amazing to wear to New York Fashion Week. I usually avoid sales people and can find my own stuff just fine (hello, I am a style blogger), but sometimes I find it’s better to ask for help because they are more familiar with the product and where it is all located. I was trying on item after item, and nothing was feeling right until this bomber jacket. I put it on, and even though I didn’t have my hair and makeup fully done, I felt pretty and like it brightened up my entire face. I packed it in my suitcase, not knowing exactly what I would pair it with but I had a lot of staple items that I knew I could mix + match.

I wore this bomber jacket two ways in New York, and I can’t decide which is my favorite. I also think it would look great layered over a dress or paired with denim. It is actually a really versatile jacket and bomber jackets are a huge trend for fall. This one is a splurge, but I am also obsessed with this more affordable option.

Another seriously hot trend right now is the J.W. Anderson Pierce bag. Compared to other designer bags, it is somewhat reasonably priced at $1,365 (P.S. girl who made the comment about my Stuart Weitzman boots I hope you aren’t reading this bahaha). I don’t by any means think $1,365 is cheap but compared to $3,000-$5,000+ designer bags it is a steal, and I guess people agree because these babies are selling out everywhere. I linked a few places where you can find the bag, and if you love it you are just going to have to stalk those sites. Or am I the only one who does that? It’s the perfect size for everyday… I can fit loads in there, and it’s also not too big for nighttime. The hardware is inspired by a barbell piercing and I am hoping it gives my good girl image a little edge. Gosh, I am weird today.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back on Friday where I will be chatting more about my trip to New York Fashion Week, like where we ate and all that good stuff! xx
