The Nordstrom anniversary sale ends in just a few days (prices go up on Monday the 3rd), and I am excited to share my personal favorite purchase from the sale which is these Spanx faux leather leggings. I love the look of leather leggings, and there are so many cute faux ones out there. These are my new favorite! I love the sheen of the material- it looks really cool in person. When these leather leggings arrived, I thought there was no way they were going to fit because they looked t i n y. But they are good ole Spanx, and seriously stretch to fit you, and once you are in they compress but still feel comfortable. Seriously these are too good to pass up, but like a lot of good things they are in limited stock so get them while you can. I also spotted these faux leather leggings which are a similar style and part of the Nordstrom sale.

I felt really good about purchasing these leather leggings… not only because they are such a great price, but also because they are a great wardrobe staple and I know I can mix and match with a lot of things I already own and get a lot of wear out of them. Similarly I am just crazy excited about this basic white shirt. You can never have too many basic white shirts, and this is a good one. It is super soft and doesn’t gape open at the bust (one of my pet peeves), and the length is perfect to wear over leggings.

You can never go wrong with a classic black & white look. It is simple, understated, and chic. I wore a similar black and white outfit in this post here. Fall is just around the corner, and it’s a great time to start going through your wardrobe and seeing what you actually need. Because I have such a passion for fashion, I get really excited over new trends and clothing items that are fun, unique and really pop. But I redirect myself back to those basic wardrobe staples that I know I will be able to wear many times over. Sometimes those things aren’t as much fun to buy, but after I buy them I end up enjoying them more than anything.
