White Lace Shift Dress

August 18, 2016

Dress: Lace Shift Dress (also comes in a gorgeous blue) | Bag: Unlined Saddle Bag | Shoes: Chuck Taylor Sneaker

Well, hello! 🙂  I have been MIA this past week as I am working on some fun projects that will hit the blog soon so I hope you will check back!!

This white lace shift dress is a classic beauty. It will never go out of style, and with its three-quarter sleeves it can easily transition into fall (well in the O.C. anyway). I posted a couple sneak peeks of this outfit on my Instagram (if you aren’t following me, you can do that here) and got quite a few questions on sizing. My dress is a size small in the tall length. I am over 5’8″ tall for reference. It looks like the tall size is sold out, but the dress is available in almost all sizes in regular length (at least as I type this).

This dress is from Abercrombie… can you believe it?!!! I actually used to work at Abercrombie back in the day. I was a store manager there. It was my first real job after I graduated from college. And it was kind of a nightmare. Sorry Abercrombie. As a manager they would sometimes have me work a 24+ hour shift during holiday season, and I didn’t get overtime (me= big dummy back then). From what I gather, the company has really changed its tune, and I can say at least this much is true- their product has definitely changed and they have really upped their game. Like check out this off the shoulder maxi dress I wore in this post. It is seriously one of my favorite dresses right now, and I have worn it a bunch of times already.

The only thing that has stayed the same at Abercrombie is the overpowering smell of the cologne in their store. ha! So it may be best to order online. 🙂 I kind of have to laugh at myself for featuring Abercrombie clothes on my blog. If you had told me that I would a year ago, I would never have believed it. When I worked at Abercrombie, I was a little too much of a fashionista and would come in wearing a bold lip (which they would actually have me remove). Abercrombie was (is?) all about the bare-faced, natural wholesome look. They ended up transferring me to their Hollister division because they felt like I fit their beachy vibe better. It might have been the bleached blonde hair I had at the time. oops. So it is ironic that today I am wearing Abercrombie of my own choice, and they like my photos on Instagram.

Thank you so much for reading! xo
