Hi loves! The countdown is on until we leave for Hawaii, and I CAN’T WAIT! 🙂 We had kind of a rough weekend over here. We went out to dinner as a family on Friday night, came home and put the kids to bed, and all was right with the world. Then out of nowhere Max was up a majority of the night crying that his “voice hurt.” He never complains when he is sick- like if he has a super high fever and I ask him how he feels he will always answer “good.” So it was kind of freaking me out that he was crying out of pain, and the panicked mom in me was ready to drive him to the hospital. In retrospect, I’m SO glad I didn’t because it was a 24 hour bug and he is totally fine now.

On Saturday I participated in a 90-minute Augiethon at my gym Orangetheory to raise money for ALS (details in this post). After not sleeping Friday night and then working out really hard Saturday I was super tired and even more grateful that we are going on vacation! I asked my husband what he is most looking forward to in Hawaii and he said “sleeping and eating breakfast.” I thought that was so cute. When you become a parent, you appreciate the littlest things. We are excited to not be bossy parents for a week haha.

P.S. We watched The Shallows this weekend, and what a mistake that was! I am now going to be too scared to even snorkel. Oh, who am I kidding, I will just have a big drink first. 🙂 Because that’s safe.

One of the best things about vacation is shopping for it! This maxi dress is one of the first purchases I made for Hawaii. My favorite details are the arm cut-outs and the tassel detailing. It is also so comfy, it feels like you are wearing pajamas. I could live and sleep in this thing. And it’s $100, which is pretty reasonable for the quality. I paired with these lace-up espadrilles (more affordable options here + here) and my all-time favorite sun hat. I have gotten more wear out of this hat than any other hat, ever. I actually just purchased it in black for Hawaii.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Love you.
