It’s the night before we leave to Hawaii, and guess where I am? Shopping at Nordstrom with my husband and Max to pick up some last minute necessities for our trip. Or more accurately closing the place out. And it’s not the Nordstrom that’s just around the corner from my house. It’s the Nordstrom that’s a good 45 minutes away even with my husband driving. ha. We were on a mission to pick up these pants in an extra-small, and it was the only store that carried them in that size in Orange County.
My husband and I were both in last minute shopping panic mode and would trade off watching Max while the other shopped. I had already done a majority of my shopping in the month leading up to our trip, but I still needed some vacation accessories. My husband, on the other hand, needed one of everything. 😉 Nordstrom is definitely our go-to place when it comes to shopping because they have such a huge selection and carry our favorite brands, and we know we will be able to find everything we need there. It makes it a lot easier when you are shopping with a kiddo and only have to hit up one department store. I also love their return policy, especially when I am shopping for vacation stuff. I never end up needing as much I bring, and I can feel good about returning there. They make it so easy!
In that shopping trip, I got these nude sandals which I had been eyeing online but never pulled the trigger. They are a great staple shoe for spring, and I am so glad I got them. I overpacked way too many shoes for my trip and ended up only alternating between two pairs for our evenings out. These Joie sandals and my Valentino Rockstuds. I have a feeling you will see me styling the nude sandals a LOT in the upcoming months.
I also picked up a few statement jewelry pieces. I wanted some fun pieces that had a tropical vibe but that were different from what everyone is wearing right now. I got these earrings (which are SO FUN, they almost look like Hawaiian flowers), a chunky link bracelet, and a snake wrap bracelet which I ended up wearing a lot to the pool.
This was one of my favorite outfits I wore in Hawaii, and we shot these photos at the Grand Wailea in Maui. This pom-pom tote was one of the first items I purchased for our trip. I don’t wear or own much orange, but this bag called to me. I think the color really makes it pop and is so great for summer. Pom-pom adornments are a huge spring trend, and I personally can’t get enough. I love the size of this tote because it is small enough to carry as a casual, beachy bag for vacation nights, but it also doubles as a smaller pool/beach tote. The bag also comes in white if you aren’t an orange person but it doesn’t have the poms.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I appreciate each and every one of you. Please make comments below… I would love to know who you all are! 🙂 A round-up of the outfits I wore in Hawaii is coming to the blog soon so make sure to check back! xx
