The Shopbop Friends & Family Event is hands-down my favorite sale of the year. Let me tell you why- almost everything is 25% off! Yes, there are some designer exclusions, but not as many as you would think. During department store sales, I have this annoying tendency to be drawn to the full priced items that are excluded from the sale, but with Shopbop that isn’t the case. If you haven’t shopped at Shopbop before, this is a great time to try. I love that their shipping is free (and it’s fast!), and their returns are free too as long as you do it within a certain time period.

Just so you understand how pumped I am about this sale, I will let you know that I have literally been stalking it for a month or two and keeping a favorites tab so that I would be ready to share all my picks. There have been a few times in the past that I placed a large order with Shopbop only to have their friends & family start a day or two later, so I am trying to learn from my mistakes. 🙂 The first board is my personal wish list. I already ordered this (to die for!) and this. After recently seeing a snapshot of Kendall Jenner wearing a velvet blazer (see it here), I can’t stop thinking about velvet blazers and velvet in general. This blazer is gorgeous, classy, and timeless (and unavailable in my size- boo). Similarly I am digging anything with a satin sheen like these beautiful wide leg pants (and the goodie that I already ordered).

The second board is full of wardrobe basics, many under $100, and a lot which I own, love, and have styled here on the blog. This plaid top is a great fall staple. Super comfy and cuter in person, and you can see how I styled it here! A girl can never have too many white dresses (in my humble opinion), and this one has such pretty lace detailing, and I wore it in this post here. These destroyed skinnies are already at a great price, but with the extra discount they are a steal at $66! Check out how I styled them here. Is it just me or is faux leather getting better and better? And sometimes pricier. I saw a faux leathered something for almost $400 the other day (crazy!). These are my #1 favorite pair of faux leather leggings (and they sell out fast) and this faux leather pencil skirt is so classy and perfect for work. I think one of the best staple pieces that you can nab during the sale is this pair of booties. They are probably the most popular item that people purchase through my website. Just like those amazing denim skinnies, the booties are already priced right but with the 25% friends & family it is too good to pass up, and you can see how I wore the same pair (in a different color) in this post.

Whew! I think it really helps to check out the clothes on a regular person and to get styling ideas.
