Printed Kaftan

Are you vacationing somewhere tropical this summer? I have the perfect dress for you! I can just envision this kaftan dressed down for poolside cocktails or up for a night out. I don’t own a whole lot of clothing in this sage green color (except for my camouflage… I am obsessed, haha), but for some reason this printed kaftan jumped out at me. First of all, is it a caftan or a kaftan? Apparently those two words are interchangeable, but whatever it is, I love it. When I first tried it on, I was amazed at how flattering it was. It not only flattered my skin tone, but it made the highlights in my hair look fresh for some reason. I can only imagine how much better it would look paired with a tropical, vacation tan… or a pre-vacation spray tan 😉 I initially thought I would accessorize with a ton of gold jewelry like an armful of eclectic, bohemian gold bracelets. Then I tried it on with my these Samantha Wills bracelets that my husband got me from a little boutique in Newport Beach. I got them a few years back, and I rediscovered them (in my own drawer) and have been wearing nonstop. Isn’t that the best when you fall in love again with something you already own? I wish that happened more.

Now that Max is a little older, I am thinking we need to plan a tropical family vacation. I keep hearing about Tulum and seeing all of these amazing pictures on Instagram. Anyone been there or have any other tropical vacation spots?
