Printed Dress Two Ways

In case you haven’t figured it out, I am a huge fan of dresses. Always have been. I definitely have a feminine sense of style so it makes sense, but I must admit that in more recent years my reason for loving dresses has changed. After having Max, I don’t have as much time to get myself ready in the morning. There’s nothing easier than throwing on a cute dress, running a brush and Moroccan oil through my hair, sunblock on my face and out the door.
Lately I have been investing in treatments that help me wake up looking better since I don’t have a lot of time to spend on makeup etc. I mean I guess I could wake up earlier but who wants to do that? I have been getting lash extensions so I don’t have to deal with mascara (and seriously they are so low maintenance) and IPL treatments on my face so my skin looks better when not wearing makeup. I styled this dress two ways. In the first look, I paired with a Gucci burgundy velvet crossbody and silver loafers. I love how the gold on the bag and bright silver of the shoes contrast. Now if you had asked me about that in high school, I would have been horrified. But mixing metals is so current and gives it a fun unexpected twist. In the second look, I added a leather jacket and studded sandals for a great fall transition look. Although we are technically in fall, it has been in the 90’s-100’s here so I am still going strong with my dress game (no jacket needed).
