Payless KangaROOS

September 14, 2016

During the week you will find me either in workout clothes and no makeup except some (okay, a lot of) under-eye concealer OR totally dressed up in full makeup for a photo shoot. Max goes to early pre-school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, and I try and shoot Friday mornings while he is at school. I am very lucky that Max actually LOVES school. I think we were both really looking to his first day back at school! 🙂 I let Max choose whichever shoes he wants to wear to school, and his favorite are his Payless KangROOS.

My Outfit: Tank: Free People Movement Amanda Tank | Leggings: SOLOW Stiletto Mesh Leggings (and here) | Sneakers: Payless KangaROOS Shaker Jogger c/o | Watch: Daniel Wellington Classic Sheffield c/o

Max’s Outfit: Shirt: J.Crew Short Sleeve Gingham | Denim: ZARA older style/ sold out (love this pair and am getting for Max) | Backpack: Herschel Supply Co. Kids Backpack Camo | Sneakers: Payless KangaROOS Pocketpass Jogger c/o

You guys! I have been MIA on my blog lately because of New York Fashion Week, and I just want to let you know that my blog will return to its regular scheduled programming. I can’t even tell you how much time I spent before fashion week agonizing over what to bring and what I was going to wear. It was my very first time at NYFW, and it was stressful trying to figure that all out. And once I was there, it was so busy it was hard to find time to sit down in front of a computer. It feels so good to be back home in my comfy clothes typing up this blog post. I’ve got my pumpkin pie candle lit, laundry going, coffee in hand in an empty house so I am a very happy girl.

I am having so much fun incorporating my kiddos more in my blog. Max is always such a little ham so he is a natural in front of the camera. The challenge is getting him to cooperate because he is always on his own program with what he wants to do. Thank goodness for the little pockets on these KangaROOS. We were able to bribe him (ha!) by rewarding him with a coin to put in the pocket of his shoes if he cooperated for the photos. I can’t even handle his sweet little open mouth in the last picture while he is focusing on putting the money in his shoe pocket.

Do you remember KangaROOS? They were a thing in the 80’s, and they are back! Seriously they are Max’s favorite shoes. What is it with little boys and pockets or boxes? Max is so fascinated with putting things in boxes and bags and pockets. Whenever I get a package in the mail, Max gets really excited about the box ha! So we both get excited when it’s a good mail day, and it’s a win-win.

I love matching with Max so we have fun wearing our KangaROOS together, and they are so comfy! Perfect for running around and doing errands. After Max wore them for his first day of school, I asked if they were comfortable all day (it seemed like my shoes always hurt my feet when I was little), and he said YES. Honestly kids shoes today are SO expensive, and they get so beat up so I am absolutely thrilled that we found cute shoes at a reasonable price. I seriously might buy them in every color!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!
