Hi my friends! Did you miss me? 😉 It has been a little quiet on the blog front lately as I am scheming and cooking up all sorts of good posts for the holidays. 🙂 If you need to get your Sapphire Diaries fix, make sure you are following along on Instagram as I usually post there daily. P.S. Sometimes I write cheesy things like “Sapphire Diaries fix” and just know that I will go back there later and re-read and cringe inside haha!
I’m so excited about today’s post because it is a great transition outfit to holiday wear, and I’m wearing my new favorite over-the-knee boots from Luisa via Roma!
If you know me, you know I am a HUGE fan of over-the-knee boots. It started back in college… I went away to school at UC Santa Barbara and as a Christmas gift or something my mom got me a subscription to Vogue magazine. At the time I was a broke college student spending all my money on Cheetos’ and alcohol (super hot right?), and I would just stare at the boots in the magazine and think to myself- next year I will save and buy them.
Because I live in Cali, there is only a short period of time during the year where you would wear such tall boots. Each year, those few months would quickly pass and I never got my boots. Fast forward to now and I finally got my over-the-knee boots fix. I am older (which sucks) but now can afford the boots. It’s a trade-off people!
Over-the-knee boots couldn’t be any more popular, but for the most part everyone’s rocking the suede. I love these Nappa leather boots because they are a refreshing change from suede (which don’t get me wrong, I totally love). I have a gut feeling that leather will be making a comeback. And really, it never goes out of style. I love that the heel is low so I can throw on these for every day. I actually wore them for my Halloween costume and literally walked around in circles in our neighborhood for almost three hours, and they were super comfortable! See them here!
I’ve linked a few similar pairs that are all available at Luisa via Roma. If you haven’t shopped there before, it is a luxury website, carrying some of my favorite designer brands that would make great holiday gifts. This is my second order through them, and I will tell you why I love them.
- Lighting fast shipping. (and it’s free!… they also do free returns)
- No sales tax. (AMAZING especially when it’s a splurge!)
Beginning next week and continuing through the holiday season I will be posting more regularly so be sure check back more often over the upcoming weeks. If you ever have any post requests or questions, please feel free to leave in the comments section below. I LOVE comments and want to know who you guys are!
Thanks for reading! xo
