Oops!… I Did It Again…
Yes, another floral dress. If you weren’t understanding the depth of my obsession, maybe you are starting to now. And if you missed some of my more recent posts of fall floral dresses, you can catch them here and here! Floral prints used to be reserved for spring and summer months, but fall florals are a thing now. Long-sleeved, above the knee floral print dresses (perfect length to pair with your over the knee boots!) are popping up everywhere, although nobody quite does it like Anthropologie. If you live somewhere with actual fall weather (lucky!), you can layer with tights, boots or booties, a scarf, and sweater.
In Orange County, the weather doesn’t feel very fall until around Thanksgiving time. I mean yeah, it gets a little colder at night but it is still mostly sunny and warm during the day. I remember back in the day when I had my baby shower, and it was held in early November with temperatures in the high 90’s (and I was so, so pregnant ugh). I think because the weather is always the same here I crave fall like no other. Orange County fall style is different because of the weather, and this outfit (which might be my all-time favorite) is a perfect example of O.C. fall style.
This Paper Crown + Rifle Paper Co. dress has the most beautiful floral pattern. I am a huge fan of this collaboration, and this is actually my 3rd dress by them (I also have this one and this one). I typically wear a small at Anthropologie, and that is the size I got in this dress. I have heard feedback on the other Paper Crown dresses that there is a lot of fabric, but the look is supposed to be boho & flowy, and I feel it runs true to size. Disclaimer, I am tall though so that probably helps.
The floral pattern on this dress is very busy, and the saturated color of the over the knee burgundy boots really helps to give balance. These Stuart Weitzman boots were my investment boot purchase of the season, and I am loving them even more than I thought I would. They also come in a high heeled version if that is more your style. I like the low heel which can be dressed up or down and gives a more relaxed boho vibe when paired with my swing dresses.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Definitely check back because I will be mixing it up and have some completely different looks coming to the blog soon.
xx Missy
