I think we can all agree that a little black dress should be a part of every woman’s wardrobe. The funny thing is that I’ve styled a little white dress, a little blue dress, and a little pink dress (okay maybe I was reaching a little with the pink) on my blog but this is the first LBD. Sequins and sparkles are all the rage right now- and I am totally digging it- but a little black dress is both classic & sexy. I don’t know about you, but whenever I slip on a black dress… even if I am having one of those ugly days, I instantly feel good.

My favorite part about a black dress is the endless ways you can style it. You can literally wear any color of bag or shoes, and it works. I especially love this dress by Christina Karin because of the sheer panels. It is sexy yet still appropriate. I am not opposed to showing skin, but the mystery of showing but not showing is almost always better! Because I am Sapphire Diaries, I had to bust out my sapphire clutch and finished the look with animal print heels.

If you still haven’t quite decided what to wear for NYE, and you didn’t succumb to the sequin mini-dress craze, I say go for the LBD. Or maybe you are like me and just plan on wearing jammies while hanging out on the couch with your guy. Either way it is fabulous!

I am hoping to squeeze one more New Year’s inspired look on the blog tomorrow so be sure and check back. Especially if you want to see sequins & sparkles!

Thanks for stopping by!
