How to Style Leather Shorts

hi guys… happy Monday! This is one of my favorite looks that I have featured on the blog in a while. I love how it is a little edgy with the braids, darker lip, and leather shorts. This outfit was initially inspired by Gigi Hadid who had on this amazing all-black outfit with red shoes, and then it evolved from there. I have been seeing stars on handbags pop up everywhere, and I am obsessed with this little star clutch by Kayu. The material is velvet, and the stars are embroidered. This bag is so on trend with both velvet and embellishments being so hot for fall.

This star bag can not only be worn as a clutch, but as a shoulder and cross-body bag. It has an attached gold chain that you can tuck into the bag if wearing a s a clutch. Or you can wear it over one shoulder or slung over as a cross-body. Personally I prefer the look of it as a cross-body slung over my hip. My photographer wasn’t really on board ha, but it is a very fashion-forward way of carrying your mini cross-body bags.

I’m still on my buy everything black kick. Coming in at a close second is everything leather. This time of year I am always a fan of leather leggings (faux or the real deal), but this fall I am expanding my horizons to include leather shorts and skirts. I can’t get enough! This is my first pair of leather shorts, and I couldn’t love them more. I am always so amazed at how good faux leather is getting. These shorts look and feel like the real deal, but for a fraction of the price.

There are endless ways on how to style leather shorts, but my favorite way is to pair with a fitted blazer. I also think they would look great layered over sheer tights like this pair with a simple pump. While every girl might not need a great pair of leather shorts, a silk camisole and black blazer should be in every woman’s closet. I had been on the hunt for an affordable black blazer for a while, and I finally found one. I love the look of blazers and jeans paired with a great heel.
