Blogger Happy Hour at SOCIAL Costa Mesa

So my drink had the yummiest gummy bear in it. Amazing!

Whenever I see a charcuterie board, I always order as a starter. I can’t resist! They are so delicious (and fun to photograph).

It’s rare that I get a girls night out so when I get one I think my motto is can’t stop, won’t stop. At the end of this happy hour, I remember saying that dreaded phase, “well I probably shouldn’t say this, but…” and also pumping my fist in the air and shouting “let’s go to Vegas!!!” I woke up the next morning thinking to myself uh-oh what did I say again? Truthfully, I am usually not this much fun (errr obnoxious). I am a total homebody and love spending my Friday and Saturday nights in a long bubble bath and reading afterward. So on the rare occasion when I get out, I am all in. And SOCIAL Costa Mesa has the yummiest drink menu. I usually just drink wine, but I had to start with one of their fun cocktails that had a gummy bear garnish. (Oh I have been trying to eat really clean and healthy too and this was my cheat meal so as you can imagine I was really into the gummy bear).

Because we had a big group of girls, we ended up ordering a ton of dishes off the menu and sharing everything. We started with the charcuterie board which is always a great sharing piece, and as the night progressed we ended up ordering some of their late night specials like grilled cheese (but the grown-up version) and buffalo chicken + waffles. I was SO full by the time we got to the chicken + waffles, but it was literally my favorite thing ever! I will definitely be going back and ordering that dish (and maybe sticking with wine instead of cocktails ha!).

I had so much fun hanging out with my blogger friends. It’s nice to hang out with like minded people and talk about things that you are mutually interested in. It made me realize how much this mama needs a girls night out. In much the same way, my hubby and I are in desperate need of a date night. SOCIAL is such a cute place to take your man for date night if you are in Orange County. It has a cool, edgy slightly masculine vibe, and the food and wine list is excellent.
