From the Cutting Room Floor
Have you ever really taken your time getting ready… carefully curling your hair and painstakingly applying your makeup and even throwing on that special outfit that you have been “saving” in your closet and end up looking meh? Isn’t that the worst? And why does that happen? I love when the opposite happens- when you throw yourself together quickly and look fabulous. In this blog post, however I am addressing the first scenario.
Not every outfit I shoot makes it to the blog. Partially because I am a perfectionist, and if I am not 100% about something its really hard for me to feature it on the blog. I put a lot of time and thought into every outfit, and I love every single one or else I wouldn’t shoot in it. However, some days for whatever reason it just doesn’t work. I started accumulating quite a few of these outfits that never made it to the blog. High humidity, bad hair days, weird lighting, whatever. These are the outfits that ended up on the cutting room floor.

I love, love, love this BB Dakota maxi dress. The colors are so perfect for fall, and it looks awesome paired with booties. The weather in Orange County has been so funky hot and humid, and I was having major hair problems that day. I might have to shoot this dress again… it’s that good and under $100.

One of my favorite pairings is floral mixed with leather. This floral print maxi dress has such vibrant colors it is so eye-catching and an attention grabber. I have been seeing it pop up all over Instagram lately. This dress would look great paired with nude sandals and would be so cute to wear to a wedding. Obsessed!
