Happy Monday loves! I had such a good weekend, and it is still going strong since hubs is off work for Martin Luther King, Jr Day. On Saturday I don’t know what came over me, but it was similar to when I had that nesting feeling towards the end of my pregnancy. I was on a cleaning/organizing rampage. I know I keep claiming to be a little OCD, but I still have areas of mess in my house that I have a hard time controlling. Mostly it’s my closet. It just takes one time where I am trying on & rejecting a ton of outfits to wear and there are like 10 things I pulled out that never make it back to their original place. Having a clean & organized closet makes getting ready so much easier & fun.
After my cleaning spree, which lasted a majority of the day, my hubby and I had date night. On date night we usually do dinner and a movie. I just love going to the movies, and we definitely don’t get out too as many movies since we had Max so it feels like a treat. We saw The Big Short about the housing bubble, which was a little heavy for date night…. but my husband and I both worked in that industry during the housing crisis so we had to see it. On Sunday, I had brunch with my two besties and did a little shopping afterward. It was really nice to get out and do some adult things and then come home to Max and feel more refreshed and patient. Pretty much a perfect weekend. 🙂
You may have already seen a peek of this outfit if you follow me on Instagram. I recently bought these black ripped jeans, and I can’t even tell you how many times I wore them already. They are cute but also super comfortable- the fabric is really soft. Because my style is more feminine, I love mixing the edgier black destroyed denim with a sweet floral print. This top is so ultra feminine, and I was immediately drawn to it because I don’t have a top with these colors in my closet already. It also comes in two solid colors if you aren’t into the floral print. In Orange County, I can feel the weather turning warmer already and I am slowly introducing Spring back into my wardrobe. Over the next month or so while we are in the limbo between cold & warm weather, this will be a perfect outfit.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great week!!!
