I have been blogging for over a year now, and this is my first fitness post. This kind of blows my mind because fitness is a huge part of my life… although apparently not as much as I thought ha! When I started my blog last April, I was regularly working out, but as I started blogging I fell off the wagon and stopped working out completely. Blogging took up a lot more time than I thought it would, and one of the things I let go to make more time was exercising. When it comes to exercising, I am an all or nothing kind of person. It’s terrible. If I see that I can only work out once or twice a week, I will just give up on exercising that week. And if the same thing happens the following week, then maybe I will stop going for a few months. Obviously this is not a good thing, and I don’t recommend that you follow my bad habits, I am just being honest.

When I work out, I need loud music, competition, and sweat. I prefer an intense workout over nothing at all which is why I have a hard time doing more mellow work out activities that don’t involve a lot of cardio. I just started working out again two weeks ago, and I am absolutely loving it. I feel so energetic afterward, and I love that feeling of being sore. Because I am just getting back to it, my only goal for the first month is to exercise as much as I can each week- a minimum of 3 times a week but 4-5 would be better. I am currently working out at a fitness place near my house that does interval training with machines and weights with cardio mixed in. The workout is always different so I never get bored and it’s also better so your body doesn’t get used to the same routine.

I know it sounds silly but when I have new cute things to work out in, it really helps give me that extra boost of motivation to work out.
