Happy First Day of Spring! It’s funny how when you get older you get excited about these things. Or maybe it’s just a blogger thing because we are all amped-up to wear our spring outfits. Okay, so you know I L-O-V-E a great dress, but this shorts outfit is seriously one of my favorites! I can’t wait to wear it again! I think it helps that the duster has movement and flow so it almost feels like wearing a dress. 🙂
Today I am partnering with Nordstrom to share a few of my favorite spring accessories. Nordstrom has always been one of my favorite places to shop, and it’s really a dream to work with them. I love their selection. I love their return policy. I love that I can order online and pick up in store. They even have a location in Orange County where they bring your order to your car. Whaaaat! I felt very fancy. And hey, that may make me seem lazy but I had a 4 year old boy with me so being able to keep him strapped in the back was basically a godsend.
Hands down my favorite- and sometimes only- accessory is a great handbag. Selecting the right handbag can make or break an outfit. I actually get more excited about a handbag over a piece of jewelry. This Chloé bag is my go-to bag for spring. It’s pink without being too pink so it is really versatile and works with so many outfits. I am obsessed with the gold chain strap and hardware. It is beautiful! And it is functional too… you would be shocked with how much stuff I can fit in this thing.
Next up- sunglasses. I almost always buy my sunglasses at Nordstrom. They carry my favorite sunglass brands, and I know there won’t be an issue if I change my mind and have to return them. Ahem, which happens more than I’d like to admit! They are also really great about adjusting sunglasses after you purchase them. Nordstrom is the best! Okay so here is my sunglasses saga…
You may have not noticed, but I rarely wear sunglasses in photos on my blog or Instagram. I have a love/hate relationship with sunglasses. Obviously I wear them because you know the sun. And I do feel like the right pair of sunglasses completes the outfit (almost as much as the bag). But I am SO PICKY about sunglasses. As in I almost never like how they look on me. Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way! I know some bloggers who always shoot wearing sunglasses- and then they don’t have to worry so much about eye makeup. Score! But unfortunately that’s not me.
I have been obsessed with the Chloé Carlina sunglasses for forever, and I can’t even tell you how many times I have tried them on at different Nordstrom stores haha. They are definitely statement sunglasses and if you aren’t used to it, they could feel overwhelming. They make you look like a bug, but if you can pull them off you will look like a beautiful bug. ha. I love the Carlina in all colors and styles, and frankly my Libra mind just couldn’t decide which pair to get. And the fact that I tried them on for my husband and he laughed wasn’t a great sign…
Then I discovered the new Chloé Myrte style which also has an oversized look, but isn’t as dramatic as the Carlina. And they are less expensive too! Hey, every bit counts, right? They are fun and sophisticated, and you can see how I styled them with a different outfit on Instagram here.
When you splurge on your handbag and sunglasses, you gotta save on your outfit right? Both the duster and shorts (you have to check out the shorts, they are SO CUTE!) are well under $100. The camisole is more of an investment piece, but I am ok with that since it’s a great closet staple item. Invest in those staple items you can wear over and over again!
Thank you so much for stopping by… I hope you all have a fantastic week! I have a slight case of the Monday’s because no Bachelor to get me through, buuut in all honesty it’s nice to get a little break from Nick. 😉
Love you guys! xx
