Fall’s “It” Jacket
Jacket: BlankNYC Suede Moto Jacket (also here & here) | Tee: Scoop Neck Boyfriend Tee | Jeans: Current/Elliott Stiletto Skinny Jean (I also own this similar option for less here) | Bag: J.W. Anderson (seriously LOVE this bag and wear all the time) | Boots: Stuart Weitzman Highland | Choker: BaubleBar Ribbon Choker c/o
I think every blogger has this jacket… but no really 😉 and there’s a reason why it’s so popular. It’s that good! It also helps that it comes in so many different color options, and it’s kind of fun seeing which color people choose as “their shade.” For me, it was a no-brainer. I love this wine color… it’s my favorite color for fall. The only issue was that it was almost impossible to find in this color, in my size. I have seen this suede jacket completely sell out a few times so if you want it, make sure to put in your order before it happens again. I’ve linked a few places where it’s available above. 🙂
In the past few months I have really been making a conscious effort to think before I buy. I ask myself- is this something I will get a lot of wear out of? Do I already own pieces that will work with this? And do I truly love it? This is where my OCD kicks in… in the perfect world (of my imagination ha), I only keep things that I absolutely love. If you are on the fence about something, don’t even second guess yourself just send it back. I think sometimes we live in fear that we won’t have anything to wear if we send it back… or what if nothing better comes along?
When I first started blogging, I made some unwise purchases. I bought cute things that I knew would really pop, because I was trying to get noticed in the sea of a bajillion bloggers. But some of those items I haven’t worn since. I am okay with splurging on investment pieces for my wardrobe, but if I am going to make a splurge it better be something that I can mix + match with my closet and get a lot of wear out of.
Enter these Stuart Weitzman boots. I purchased my first pair of Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots last fall (in my favorite wine color!) and was surprised at how much wore them. That was at a time where I was more of an impulse shopper, but luckily in the case of those boots it worked out. Yes, they are expensive but they make the outfit, and I bet I will have them for years and years to come. I totally baby my shoes. Especially when they are pricey!
I love how this outfit came together- the jacket, the white tee, the jeans, the boots, and my favorite bag- those all are things that I will wear again and again. I can’t believe that it’s already November. I am already thinking up some fun ideas for Christmas posts, and it’s going to be a great holiday season. Can’t wait!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
