Fall Transition

August 25, 2017

Dress: Crystal Ball off the Shoulder Maxi Dress | Bag: Nile Leather Bracelet Bag (wearing the small, recommend the medium if you are like me and want your phone to fit in your purse lol) | Hat: Fiddler Fisherman Cap (wearing a small) | Sandals: Carrson Sandal (Under $100)

Happy Friday guys! I love this time of year with summer coming to a close… and fall and the holidays just around the corner. It is also a strange time of year. When I am craving pumpkin spice lattes and over-the-knee boots but it is still a bajillion degrees outside. It is especially strange this year because Max just finished his last day of summer pre-school today and has the next two weeks off. Meanwhile, all the elementary schools in my neighborhood are back at school this week. Basically I feel off! It is summer or is it fall?

I love the versatility of this outfit and the fact that it feels a little summerish and a little fall. This dress is the color of pumpkin spice in person. It has long sleeves which I styled to be pushed up here, but it goes all the way down to the wrists. You can wear it off-the-shoulder in the summer months but on the shoulder when the weather gets cooler. See it styled on the shoulder on my Instagram here.

The fisherman’s cap and black sandals give the dress a fall vibe, but the white bag keeps it feeling fresh and summery. The overall look is unexpected, boho, and playful. I feel like I can style this dress so many ways, and the best part is it’s under $100! I am wearing a small and when I got mine all sizes were stocked, but it looks like it is selling out quick. This pumpkin spice/ rust color is my favorite for fall, and this dress and this dress are also pretty options in the same color family.

Everything I am wearing is from Nordstrom which has so much good new fall merchandise right now. My step-daughter starts school this Monday and we plan on doing all our back-to-school shopping at Nordstrom this weekend (total last minute shopper here!). And maybe pick up a thing or two for myself. ha 🙂

That’s one of my favorite things about Nordstrom- I can get everything the kids need for their wardrobe including shoes, and stuff for myself too. Being a mom, I have to either do a majority of my shopping online or at an all-in-one place like Nordstrom. Max’s school gets out at 12:30 every day so I have to get everything I need done on my blog and/or workout before picking him up so shopping while he’s at school is pretty impossible. With him off the next two weeks, it is going to be even more of a scramble trying to get things done. Wish me luck!

Have a fantastic weekend guys! xx
