This might be my all-time personal favorite post on Sapphire Diaries to date. And that says a lot because that’s almost two years of blog posts. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved creating it! It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit which is good because Christmas is only 3 days away. EEK! And no, my Christmas shopping isn’t done yet. #typical

I became a blogger because I love beautiful imagery and spaces. I always have, and it’s just a huge part of me and what makes me tick. When I was little, I used to play with my dollhouse for hours every day just rearranging the furniture and making it beautiful. I remember my mom was always rearranging the furniture and accessories (and cleaning), and it made our home feel alive and new so I must have picked this up from her.

With blogging, I get to be my own creative director- dreaming up outfits and backgrounds for photo shoots, designing my website and what it looks like, and also writing. I am a huge reader, and while I really don’t think I’m a good writer it goes hand-in-hand with reading. So basically blogging fulfills all those creative needs inside me. If I wasn’t a blogger, and I could be anything else it would be an interior designer. I love creating warm, happy, and inviting spaces.

We are hosting Christmas at our home this year, which is very exciting, and this is our Christmas table. I plan on making some muffins the night before and serving coffee and pastries in the morning while we open presents. After opening all the presents, we are having brunch. Christmas is all about the kids so I wanted the table to have a playful vibe. I hope that in creating this warm space, the kids will look back on this Christmas with fond memories. Lily is very excited about the chalkboard menu and loves reading it to Max. So cute.

I mentioned recently in this post that these cozy booties have been my favorite go-to shoes to get all my holiday errands done. I throw them on in the mornings to drop off Max to school. They are seriously my favorite! My friend Taylor who shot these photos asked, “oh my gosh, those shoes are from Payless?” Yes, they are and they are seriously my fave! I can totally see myself rocking these same shoes every winter for years and years from now. The price is right, and they make a great gift.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to swing by tomorrow for a peek into our holiday living room with Minted.

xo, Missy

Thank you Payless for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

And special thanks to my hubby for getting the perfect dining bench delivered to our house at midnight the night before the shoot. Making all my blogger dreams come true. 🙂
