My Gown | Danielle’s Gown

Happy (almost) Halloween! Can you believe it?

This was such a fun shoot! I love collaborating with Danielle from DKW Styling because we have such similar fashion taste- whenever she posts something I immediately want to get whatever it is that she is wearing and vice versa. So we are pretty much always in sync when styling our shoots. Not only that, but we have so much fun shooting together (and laugh way too much). If you missed some of the recent collaborations we shot together, you can catch them here, here, and here!

I am naturally a very smiley, giggly person. When I am feeling awkward, I smile. When I am feeling confused, I smile. When I am feeling happy, well you get the picture. I was a little skeptical about whether I could pull off a serious/ dead girl look but it was surprisingly easy. Even if I didn’t smize my eyes, the vacant eye look works too. LOL

If you’re scrambling for a last minute Halloween costume, consider throwing on your most formal dress (or renting one from Rent the Runway like we did), and pair it with some white face makeup. We used Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) as our inspiration for makeup and the flowers in our hair. We used a beach texturizing spray to really rat up my curls and give it fun, messy volume.

I had such a blast shooting these photos with Danielle, and I must say I am definitely more in the Halloween spirit after dressing up (and shooting in the creepy woods).

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

xx Missy
