Meet Belle. She is supposed to be a chihuahua, but my hubby and I think she has some terrier in her. She is my first baby before I had a (real) baby. We named her Belle because when my husband and I first started dating I called him Beast and he called me Beauty (get it- Belle from Beauty and the Beast). I have no idea why I called my husband “beast” since he is pretty cute (and I know it makes me sound like a b****, but I meant it in a good way) and he is probably going to be embarrassed about me over-sharing. haha. I love Belle, and she is definitely a member of our family but our relationship changed after I had Max. I think I was just so tired all the time it was hard to care for her in the same way. I am admitting this here because I remember reading that other moms felt the same way on an Instagram post, and it made me feel better. Having pets is so hard when you have kids, but it is so worth it because they adore her. And she is so stinking cute!

I have always been a turtleneck fan. I think I picked it up from my mom who loves them too. I like my turtlenecks tight fitted, relaxed & oversized, and on dresses. So basically what I am saying is I love them all! My favorite is probably a slim fitting black turtleneck because I think it is instantly chic and timeless. A quality turtleneck is a piece that I feel good about investing in for my wardrobe because it never goes out of style and always works. When I saw this oversized gray turtleneck sweater with the black bows on the back, I literally gasped out loud and happily forked over for shipping costs (I am usually stingy when it comes to paying for shipping hahah). I love this pullover’s balance of sweet and sexy. The sweater is oversized and seriously cozy and comfy, but you can see tiny glimpses of skin between the bows. In the winter, I will layer this sweater over a camisole, but for now I think it’s cute to go without.

And let’s talk about these faux leather leggings. I styled them first here, and at the time I posted they were sold out. They are now restocked here and here, and I am not just saying this but these are my absolute favorite faux leather leggings. The finish looks almost washed, and they are by Spanx so you know what that means (they make a body look good!). If you aren’t ready to pull the trigger and invest in leather leggings, these are a great option! You will probably surprise yourself with how much you reach for leather leggings when you have them. They go with about everything you would pair your regular black leggings with but they give an edgier look.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I am excited to share more fall inspiration with you over the next few weeks. I am so looking forward to pumpkin spice lattes, fall scented candles, and most importantly cooler weather. Fall get here already!
