I think it’s safe to say that if you are a fashion girl, you are into velvet right now. My current obsession is blue velvet, and this dress was my first blue velvet purchase. Next on my wish list is this bag (in my dreams!). In person this dress is the lushest, most gorgeous velvet but it isn’t translating as much in these photos.
It’s kind of a good thing because it makes this dress more daytime. I think it’s even appropriate for work-wear. Is it weird that I kind of miss getting dressed up each day to go to the office? Although I guess it is a trade-off because I worked from the kitchen counter all day yesterday with Seinfeld reruns playing in the background. I had to reflect for a second and think to myself this is pretty dang nice.
My husband has been making a lot more appearances on the blog lately, and how handsome does he look in this outfit from Nordstrom? Nordstrom carries all my favorite men’s brands so whenever I need to buy Chad a gift or new clothes, it is my go-to. Speaking of, Chad’s birthday is just around the corner so I need to get on this soon!
I think Ted Baker is Chad’s brand. I especially love all the Ted Baker shirts they have at Nordstrom like this one that he’s wearing. They are perfect for him to wear on date night or for casual Friday at work. They also make great gifts for your husband, boyfriend, brother whatever.
Things have been busy around the house because we are prepping to head out on a road trip this weekend. We are going tailgating, and it will be my very first time. But we are doing it the Martha Stewart way and it’s going to be glamorous tailgating (kind of like glamping) at least I hope so. Make sure you are following along on Instagram!
