Black, White, and Neon

I am not going to lie… I am kind of excited about this outfit! And when I say “kind of,” I mean… ecstatic! I love stripes, especially when they are black and white (that was even part of our wedding colors/ design) so when I saw this dress I immediately loved it. I don’t own a whole lot of pieces with cutouts, but I love the placement of this one. It is oh, SO flattering. I tend to carry my weight in the lower portion of my stomach (moms, you know what I mean), and because the cutout is placed high it gives the illusion of perfect abs. 😉 What is better than that? I wasn’t quite sure what direction I was going to go styling this dress. Initially I thought it would look cute styled with a bright pop of red, but because this dress stands out in itself it would look great paired with understated accessories in black, white, or metallic shades. I had recently ordered this super fun Rebecca Minkoff neon yellow bag, and randomly tried it with the dress with gave me inspiration for mixing black, white, and neon. I LOVE how fun and summery neon is. I am a child of the 80’s, and neon was my jam when I was little. You either love neon or you hate it, and I think when done in moderation it is fabulous. When I was little I liked to layer all the neon colors together and wear them with a shirt clip and my jelly sandals. haha. What do you think of this black, white and neon color combo?
