******Disclaimer, this is going to make me sound extremely obnoxious, but here it goes…. I went into my closet the other day and thought to myself I have nothing to wear. First world problems, yes, but that feeling sucks am I right? I have been blogging for about a year now and I have accumulated a lot of stuff. But am I going to wear a little sequin mini dress or floral ball gown in my day-to-day mom life? Obviously not. There are SO many bloggers out there… I discover new ones all the time (and to be honest it makes me a little crazy). Sometimes I wear something because I think that it would be interesting and help me stand out in the crowd. While I adore those stand-out pieces and they will forever be my passion and style, I need more staples that I can wear on a daily basis.
I am going to refocus some of my energy on those everyday basics that every girl has to have in her closet. Because lately I have been thinking… instead of having a stuffed closet that I have to scavenge through to get dressed I would rather have a small collection of things that I absolutely love. Like a perfect white lace shirt (just ordered, can’t wait for it to get here), that LBD that makes you feel gorgeous every time you put it on (on the hunt for that right now), your favorite pj’s that are cute AND comfy, skinny jeans that don’t stretch out and sag… the list goes on and on.
You know I love a little white dress, and it is definitely a staple item in my closet especially over the summer months. This one has a simple silhouette which makes it a great basic that you can change up with accessories. And it’s under $100! I say size down 1 size. I got it in small and it has a relaxed fit.
