Winter Dress
Dress: Byron Lars Winter Rose Dress | Shrug: Betsey Johnson Marabou Vest | Bag: Saint Laurent | Heels: Ann Taylor Isla Peep Toe Heels (new fave!)
This dress was destined to be mine. I knew that the minute I saw it. But I am not going to lie, this was a bit unfortunate because of the admittedly hefty price tag. Everything about this dress is so me. The floral pattern, the red lace, the luxe eclectic feel. Even one of my girlfriends texted me a pic of the dress, and said you have to get this. I stalked it online at Anthropologie for a while, and then I nabbed it during one of their 25% off sales. It is even more stunning in person, and it feels like you are wearing a piece of art (that’s my kind of art). So yes this dress is an investment piece, but because it doesn’t follow a trend or style it will never go out of style. You can pull this dress out 5 years from now, and it will still have that wow factor.
And surprisingly, despite the dress having a lot going on, it was easy to style. This holiday season I am loving everything feathered & furry layered over dresses. This feather shrug is a dream, also comes in black and a soft blush pink, and is under $100 (which is a great price compared to other brands). My bag of choice for party dresses is a simple clutch. I paired with my YSL blue clutch to play up the blue in the dress. I also liked how it looks with this leopard clutch, but if you are going that route it’s best to keep the shoes simple, and I had to wear my fave red holiday shoes.
Make sure to check the blog tomorrow as I am sharing a peek into my newly remodeled kitchen!
