I don’t know about you, but it finally hit me… the holidays are here! It’s my favorite time of the year, but it’s also so stressful isn’t it? I guess it seems silly to get stressed over party planning, decorating, and present buying & wrapping, I mean even as I write this it just seems kind of laughable that these kind of fun things bring stress, but come on… they totally do! I truly love everything about the holidays- even wrapping presents. I have to admit I have been known to get excited about gift wrap. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing how my family celebrates the holidays, some of our traditions, recipes, decorating inspiration, gift guides for all the people in your life (and what should be on your own wish list), and of course most importantly… what to wear!

This silver pleated maxi skirt is eye-catching and perfect for the holidays. Depending on what you wear it with, I can see this piece easily transitioning from your work holiday party to Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. This skirt would look great with a lacy top and a blazer or I can even see it with a chunky cropped sweater. Personally, I like mixing feminine pieces with things that have a little edge. The leather jacket balances out the sweetness of the pleats, and in general I love the look of leather jackets with maxi dresses and skirts. One of my all-time favorite combos.
