Happy 4th of July! I am really excited to spend today with family & friends and am literally counting down the hours until the fireworks. It will be so fun experiencing them with Max because last year he was too young to understand what was going on. I love how holidays become new and exciting all over again when you have a little one. I am just crossing my fingers that he won’t be scared of all the loud noises like I was when I was little (hoping he’s not a scaredy cat like his mama).

I teamed up with my friend and fashion blogger Danielle from DKW Styling to share some cute and casual 4th of July outfits. When brainstorming on what to wear, we both agreed that denim cut-off’s were the way to go. I am especially loving denim cut-off’s with the destroyed detail and think they look really cute when paired with a dressier top. When I saw this navy & white colorblock swimsuit at Nordstrom, I immediately thought it would be perfect for the 4th. I was hesitant to try a one-piece because I worried it would make me look frumpy. Now that I have one, I am completely addicted and ready to add to my collection. Wearing a one piece is so nice, especially when you have kids because you don’t have to worry about your kid pulling your top down and accidentally flashing you. 😉
